Zrinka Cvitešić

Zrinka Cvitesic ( born July 18, 1979 in Karlovac ) is a Croatian actress.

Zrinka Cvitesic received as a student trained as a dancer and singer. After high school she studied acting training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Zagreb and then was an ensemble member of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Her first film role in 2000, she received in a Croatian television game. A first main role she played in 2003 Branko Ivandas Konjanik. In 2004 she had a cameo appearance in the international television production Lady Musketeer - All for One with Gérard Depardieu, Michael York and Nastassja Kinski.

In 2005 she received for her starring role in what is a man without a mustache? Best Actor Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival. In 2010 she received at the Berlinale 2010 award as "Shooting Star"; at the same time, she played the lead role in the film competition On the Path of Jasmila Žbanić, which earned her a nomination for the European Film Awards.

In 2012 she played the lead role in the film debut of German director Michaela Kezele The Bridge on the Ibar (My Beautiful Country ), which premiered on July 3, 2012 at the Munich Film Festival. She was awarded the Bernhard Wicki Film Prize 2012 for her dramatic performance.

In addition to her acting work, she joined in 2006 in the Croatian version of the TV show Let's Dance and won the competition.
