Zschonerbach

Zschonerbach ( " tame Zschone " ) between the Zschonermühle and the " gift of God Erbstolln "

The Zschonerbach is a left tributary of the Elbe River, which runs through the Zschonergrund in the west of Dresden.

It is formed by the confluence of the headwaters Kesselbach and Brückel creek north of Kettle Village. In its 8.4 km long course of the stream flows through the districts of Dresden Steinbach, Zöllmen, Ockerwitz and Briesnitz. In Kemnitz it flows south of the highway bridge of the A 4 into the Elbe. The last 500 meters of the creek are channeled in contrast to the natural headwaters and cross under, inter alia, the B6. In the tunnel, home to many bats of strictly protected species Daubenton's bat and greater mouse-eared.
