Zsigmondy (crater)

66.05

ZSIGMONDY is an impact crater on the side of the moon and therefore can not be observed directly from Earth. At its southeastern edge, the crater Omar Khayyam follows, which is in turn within the much larger crater Poczobutt. Further east, on the northern edge of Poczobutt, is the crater Smoluchowski.

As with many craters of the moon back to the edge of ZSIGMONDY is eroded and deformed and shows a polygonal outline. With its eastern side it covers the almost equally large crater ' ZSIGMONDY S'. A pair of small crater lies on the western edge of the low and another pair marks the southeastern interior wall. The crater interior is in the western half of planar and has near the center of a low central ridge on.
