Zsolt Bedák

Zsolt Bedak ( born September 26, 1983 in Budapest) is a Hungarian boxer who fights at super bantamweight.

As an amateur Bedak as well as his brother Pál Bedak approached at the 2004 Olympics in the bantamweight, where they lost already in the second round against the Ukrainian boxer Maksym Tretyak on points.

2006 won Bedak at the EU Championships in Pécs gold. He defeated there in the final British boxer Joseph Murray with 36:12 points. At the European Championships the same year he retired in the semifinals to eventual winners Ali Aliyev and thus won bronze.

In 2006, he turned professional at the Hamburg boxing stable Spotlight Boxing.

In March 2009 Bedak won the vacant European title of the WBO.

On 4 December 2009 he fought for the WBO Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title against Ramie Laput. Bedak won this fight by a whacked in the 7th round.

In May 2010 he was given the chance for the world championship title of the WBO boxing. Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. Fighting took place in his home country of Puerto Rico. He lost that fight by a technical knockout in the 10th round. After a precipitate his team threw in the towel.
