Zu Yi

King Qie Yi (Chinese且 乙) (* BC; ? † 1507 BC) ruled as thirteenth or fourteenth king of the Shang dynasty for 19 years (due to the recording in the historical works Zhushu Jinian ) about China. Due to the recording in the historical works Shiji, he was the son of the king He Dan Jia, but due to the recording of the oracle bones, he was the son of King Zhong Ding. During his era, the Shang dynasty flourished again. He moved the capital from Xiang (Chinese相) by Geng (Chinese耿) and then again after Bì (Chinese庇) ( according to another source, according to Xing (Chinese邢), the locations are all in today's Henan Province, China ).

Comments to the temple name

Because of Shiji the king should be with the temple name Zhong Tai Zong Wu, but due to Bamboo Annals and oracle bones Yinxu to the Zhong Zong Yi Qie be king. Many believe this should be an error in Shiji.
