The Mario Zucchelli Station ( MTS ) is an Italian Antarctic Station Built in 1985 at the Ross Sea in the Terra Nova Bay in Victoria Land. By the year 2004 was the research station station Baia Terra Nova ( New Earth Bay Station), according to the Terra Nova Bay in which it was created, it was named after the late first conductor of the Italian Antarctic program. The station is located on a peninsula north-south orientation, which provides access to the sea in the east and west is granted. It lies on an ice-free rock 15 m above sea level and 100 meters from the coast.
