Zug 94

Train 94 is a football club from the city train. The association was created in 1994 from the merger between the FC and the SC train train and play in the 1st League Classic, Group 3, the fourth- highest Swiss league.

Stadium and sports facilities

Built in 1979 the stadium Herti Allmend has a natural grass field and offers a total of 4,900 people ( 2,400 seated and 2,500 standing). There are seven pitches (two of modern artificial turf ) on investments Herti Allmend, Hertistrasse - Nord and Riedmatt ( field created in 1994 ).

In the 2007/2008 season of SC Cham wore his Challenge League home matches at the stadium Herti Allmend.

Team Zugerland

The team Zugerland the performance department ( junior elite football ) all Zuger football clubs at youth level in recent years was an integral part in the organization of the Zug Football Association and is integrated into the club structure of train 94 since the 2009/2010 season.

The performance sports department of train 94 comprises five teams. The U -15 and U-14 take part in the championship in the national football power in part ( junior elite football ). The players remain but licensed for the league championship in their regular clubs.

History

Football club train 94 was created in 1994 from the merger of FC and SC train train. He is now the biggest football club in the Canton train.

The SC train, founded on 19 April 1915 as Excelsior FC, ​​played in the seasons from 1939 /40 to 1952/53, in the second highest Swiss league. Then in the lower leagues. 1975/76 missed the club by a 0-2 defeat against SC Kriens 's re-emergence in the NLB. This was successful in the 1982 season / 83. 1983 joined the club surprisingly under coach Ottmar Hitzfeld with the NLB title from and played for one season (1984 /85) in the NLA. The 15th place among 16 teams meant, however, the immediate re descent. The team was represented in the second division until relegation in 1991/92. In the season 2010/11 train 94 had to first accept relegation to the 2nd league interregional.

The FC train, founded on 17 July 1923 has no equivalent Palmarčs. He played at least in the seasons 1985/86 and 1989/ 90 in the NLB.
