Zugerbergbahn funicular

The Zugerbergbahn ( ZBB ) is a funicular railway in the Canton train. It goes from train to train mountain ( 926 m above sea level. M. ). The journey takes around 6 minutes per car, 80 passengers are carried.

The railway was opened on 14 May 1907, and has since been modernized several times: in 1931, the car of the first generation were replaced, from 1950 to 1952 the trackbed overtaken, 1960 replaces the valley station Schönegg and 1970/71 the top station Zugerbergbahn including drive -created. The third red car generation was introduced in 1984 in connection with another Trasseesanierung. 1992, the system was modified so that the controller is in one-man operation became possible; 1997 was converted to automatic driving mode.
