Zuicho Tachibana

Zuichō Tachibana (Japanese橘 瑞超, Tachibana Zuichō; born January 7, 1890 in Kabayaki -chō (today: Naka -ku ), Nagoya, † November 4, 1968 ) was a Japanese explorer of Central Asia and officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. He took 1902-1910 participated in three expeditions to Central Asia, all of which were financed by Count Otani. He traveled as a priest of the Buddhist Jodo Shinshu school, and was regarded with suspicion by the British and Russian intelligence.
