Zunyi Conference

As a conference of Zunyi full meeting of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China is known, which took place from January 15 to January 17, 1935 in the city of Zunyi ( Guizhou Province ).

The meeting, which took place shortly after the beginning of the Long March, was marked by the power struggle between the fraction of Mao Zedong on the one hand and the Comintern faction loyal to Bo Gu, Otto Braun and Wang Ming. The latter were accused of opportunism at this conference and blamed for numerous military mistakes and losses.

Mao Zedong managed to attract other influential Chinese Communists such as Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Liu Bocheng to his side; Mao was elected to the Party Secretariat and the Permanent Political Bureau of the Communist Party. Otto Braun and Bo Gu were removed from their positions; the military command took Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Wang Jiaxiang.

The Conference of Zunyi is specifically referred to in China as well turning point in history at which the beat of ideological blindness representative of the line of the Soviet Union were disempowered because they had damaged the Communist cause. The turning point in the struggle of the communists had only occurred after the Chinese revolution had been freed from the Soviet Unrealismus specifications.

The two-story building of brick and wood is a revolutionary memorial since 1955.
