Zurab Chisanischwili (Georgian ზურაბ ხიზანიშვილი; born October 6, 1981 in Tbilisi, English transcription: Zurab Khizanishvili ) is a Georgian international footballer. Since summer 2011, the defender is at Kayserispor under contract.

Career

His footballing career began at Dinamo Tbilisi and later moved on Merani Tbilisi -91 (now " FC Tbilisi " ) to Locomotive Tbilisi. There he received offers of several English clubs, his club raised a release requirement of 5 million pounds sterling.

Only after intervention by FIFA in March 2001, a change to the Scottish club Dundee FC. After two seasons at Dens Park, the club came in 2003 in a financial crisis and Alex McLeish, manager of Glasgow Rangers, took the defender to Glasgow. In his first season with the Rangers, he came to more than 35 missions, but then fell gradually back into the second set. On 31 August 2005 he was loaned out to Blackburn Rovers in the English Premier League. On 10 April 2006, he signed a contract there. After numerous rental stations in the summer of 2011 he moved to Turkey to Kayserispor.

Chisanischwili is since 1999 part of the national team of Georgia and is also regularly used for this.
