Zurn Peak

The Zurn Peak is a mountain in Antarctica. It is 1515 meters high and is located in the Marie Byrd Land on the northern edge of Toney Mountains, about 6 km north-east of whose highest peak, the Richmond Peak, away. After he has been mapped 1959-1971 by the United States Geological Survey ( USGS ) and photographed by the U.S. Navy, he was named after the German geophysicist Walter Zürn 1976, the 1972 was the scientific director of the Amundsen -Scott South Pole Station.
