The Zutphen railway station is the largest railway station in the Dutch town of Zutphen. He is a central hub in urban public transport. At the station, at national regional and long-distance trains.
History
After the opening of the station in 1865 Zutphen soon became a major hub for national and international train station. The Dutch State Railways taught through fast trains between Amsterdam - a Arnhem and Hanover. These trains stopped all in Zutphen. Early 1900, however, new routes were opened, through which the high-speed trains now crooked and Zutphen evolved over time into more of a regional hub.
The first station building was destroyed in 1944 by an air attack on a German ammunition train standing at the station. The present building was the station in 1952. The building received the award in 2007 as Rijksmonument.
