Zuunmod

Dsuunmod (Mongolian Зуунмод ) is the capital of Zentralaimags Mongolia. The city counts (2006) 14 660 inhabitants and covers an area of ​​19.18 km ².

Location

History

On June 13, 1696 here troops of the Chinese Emperor Kangxi and the Khalkha defeated the Dsungars under Galdan Khan, the leader of the Western Mongols.
