Zvi Hashin

Zvi Hashin ( born 1929 ) is an Israeli engineer and emeritus professor.

Life

Hashin was a professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tel Aviv. He has published over fiber composite plastics especially with basics of the physically based failure criteria of fiber - reinforced polymer composites. His work is seen as one of the foundations to the inter-fiber failure criterion according to Puck. In 2012 he was awarded the Benjamin Franklin Medal.
