Zvolen Castle

The Castle Zvolen ( Slovak zámok Zvolenský or wrongly often Zvolenský hrad ) is a medieval castle, which is on a mountain near the city of Zvolen ( German Altsohl ), a town in central Slovakia, is located. The original county seat was the Pustý hrad, which was situated on a wooded ridge above the confluence of Hron and Slatina south of the city and was built in the 12th century.
