Zvonimir ÄŒervenko

Zvonimir Cervenko ( born November 13, 1926 in Prijepolje, † February 17, 2001 in Zagreb ) was a Croatian general.

Cervenko was the successor Janko Bobetkos from July 1995 Chief of Staff of the Croatian army. Under him the Operation Storm took place, in which the Republic of Serbian Krajina was captured by Croatian forces in August 1995. One possible prosecution for war crimes in connection with ethnic cleansing before the International Criminal Court he escaped through his death in 2001.
