Zwieselberg
Zwiesel mountain ( in the local dialect: [ ʦʋ̊ɪʓ̊ʊ ˌ BAE RG ː ] ) is a hill and a municipality in the administrative district of Thun in the canton of Bern.
Geography
The municipality is situated on the homonymous hill southwest of the city of Thun to the west of Lake Thun. Previously, there were no major settlements. However, today the hamlet of Upper Gass (666 m asl ) and Chrüzgass grown together ( 652 m) to a small center. The third village is Glütsch (607 m ) west of the Kander. A small part of the municipality is located in Glütschbachtal through which flows the Glütschbach. This valley and the hills Beisseren ( 823 m above sea level, the highest point of the municipality ) are heavily wooded. Of the total area of 246 ha community 65.8 % is used for agriculture. A quarter ( 25.9%) is covered by forest and woodland and 7.4 % settlement area.
Two Eselsberg bordered to the south by Reutigen, to the east of Spiez, Thun to the northeast, the northwest by Amsoldingen and to the west by courts in Thun.
Population
The end of 2009 the congregation had 267 inhabitants.
Languages
The people speak in everyday life, a high Alemannic dialect, which belongs to the German dialects of Bern. At the last census in 2000, all inhabitants of German gave as their main language.
Religions - faiths
In earlier times the entire population belonged to the Evangelical Reformed Church. Due to immigration from other parts of Switzerland and leaving the church, this has changed. Today ( as of 2000) are 88.14 % and 4.66% Evangelical Protestant Roman Catholic Christians. There are also 5.51% non-religious. 1.27 % of the population refusing to participate to their faith.
Origin - Nationality
Of the 239 residents in early 2005 were all Swiss citizens. At the last census, with the exception of a German national as well as all residents of a Swiss citizen.
Policy
The voting shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 40.8 %, 18.0 % BDP, SP 12.1 %, 10.9 % GPS, glp 6.4 %, 3.8 % EPP, EDU 3.1 %, FDP 2.4 %, CVP 1.5 %.
Economy
Agriculture is still the main industry of those residents who work in the village.
Traffic
The place is connected to the network of public transport by bus number 55 (tuna Brodhüsi ) of the transport companies STI.
Zwiesel mountain is located on the side street of Amsoldingen after Reutigen. The nearest motorway junction is tuna -south on the A6.
