Žydrūnas Savickas

Žydrūnas Savickas ( born July 15, 1975 in Biržai, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian strongman.

Life

Žydrūnas Savickas interest for the Strongman sport was awakened by a television broadcast in 1989. Just three years later he participated in an official Strongman Competition. He began to train powerlifting and a short time later, he broke all the Lithuanian powerlifting records. He's pushed the only Lithuanians of more than 400 kg squats. In 1998 he was for the first time strongest man in Lithuania. He also won the silver medal at the Powerlifting World Championships in Japan with a total of 1,020 kg.

From 2011 to 2014 he is with Arturo Zuoko ir koalicija Vilniaus Vilnius City Council member.
