Zygmunt Ajdukiewicz

Zygmunt Ajdukiewicz, Sigismund Ajdukiewicz (* 1861 in Witkowice at Tarnobrzeg, † 1917 in Vienna ) was a Polish painter.

Life

Ajdukiewicz studied from 1880 to 1882 art at the Vienna Academy, and from 1883 to 1885 in Munich. From 1885 he lived and worked in Vienna. He mainly painted portraits, genre scenes and history paintings. Among his most famous works is the twelve-part history cycle " Tadeusz Kościuszko ". He was a cousin of the painter Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz.
