Zygmunt Kalinowski (2007)

Zygmunt Kalinowski ( born 2 May 1949 in Laski ) is a former Polish football player.

Club career

Zygmunt Kalinowski began his professional career in 1968 with the capital club Legia Warsaw, where, however, he was only substitute goalkeeper and very rarely was used. In 1971 he then moved to Slask Wroclaw, where he became one of the best Polish goalkeeper. From 1979 to 1981 and from 1982 to 1987, he also played for Motor Lublin in the top Polish league. He then worked at Polonia Sydney in Australia and the North York rackets Toronto, Canada. After his return to Poland Zygmunt Kalinowski still played for several clubs unterklassige before 1996 at the age of 47, ended his active career final. After that, he was goalkeeping coach in the youth field with Wisła Kraków, Górnik Łęczna, KS Lublinianka and the Polish national team. He is currently the goalkeeping coach at Motor Lublin.

National

Between 1973 and 1974, Kalinowski participated in four international matches of his country. He also belonged to the squad for the World Cup 1974 in Germany, where he indeed was not used, but with Poland won the bronze medal.
