Zygmunt Miłkowski

Zygmunt Fortunat Miłkowski, pseudonyms Teodor Tomasz Jeż and Wladyslaw Bonar ( born March 23, 1824 in Saracea, Podolia, Russian Empire; † January 11, 1915 in Lausanne, Switzerland ) was a Polish writer and politician.

Life

Miłkowski attended the University of Kiev, emigrated 1846, participated in 1848 at the Hungarian uprising, then lived in Wallachia and entered again during the Polish uprising of 1863 politically in the foreground. Since 1871 he lived in Lausanne.

He introduced towards the end of the 1850s through a series of narratives ( first in Gazeta Warszawska ) rather noisily in the Polish literature. The same excited mostly therefore a stir because it would otherwise rarely treated southern Slav and Hungarian relations with great skill and artistic skill were shown.
