Zygmunt Mycielski

Zygmunt Mycielski (born 17 August 1907 in Przeworsk; † August 5, 1987 in Warsaw) was a Polish composer.

Mycielski was a pupil of Karol Szymanowski and since 1928 at the École Normale de Musique of Nadia Boulanger and Paul Dukas. From 1946 to 1968 he worked intermittently at the music magazine Ruch Muzyczny.

In addition to two ballets he composed six symphonies, a piano concerto, chamber music, a cantata, choral works, songs, film and theater music.
