152 mm howitzer M1938 (M-10)

The 152- mm howitzer M1938 (M -10) (Russian 152- мм гаубица обр. 1938 г. ( М -10) ) was a Soviet heavy field howitzer with a caliber of 152.4 mm, which was used during the Second World War. It was constructed in 1937, the responsible chief designer was FF Petrov. A total of 1522 copies were manufactured. 152- mm howitzer M1938 (originally 152 mm Divisionhaubitze M1938 ) was a designation of the Red Army and M-10 was another equivalent designation of the manufacturer, Permski Zavod No.172 ( Perm -Werke No.172 ).

All M 1938 and the associated ammunition that could be captured during the German attack on the Soviet Union by the Wehrmacht, were used on the German side under the designation 15.2 cm heavy field howitzer 443 ( r) (r for Russian).
