1932 International Lawn Tennis Challenge

The International Lawn Tennis Challenge 1932 was the 27th edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national teams in tennis. The competition was held in two continental zones of Europe and the Americas region, the Americas zone were divided into a North American group and a South American group. The winners of the two zones played a playoff for the final. Here, the U.S. put against the German Reich by 3-2, failed in from 29 to 31 July during the finals but to defending champions France. France won so the sixth title in a row.

The American zone consisted of five participants in the North and three participants in the South American group.

The winners of the two groups played in a continental playoff for a place in the playoff against the winner of the Euro zone.

North America group

South America group

Brazil withdrew without a fight to the intra- continental playoff against the United States.

Continental playoff

In intra- continental playoff, the U.S. could clearly prevail against Brazil. The U.S. had to hand in the encounter only a single set ( in duplicate) and a total of only 31 games ( 90 won ).

Playoff

In the playoff between the two winners of the continental zones, the U.S. triumphed over the German Reich.

Final

In the final between the USA and France, the French defending champion prevailed 3-2. It was the sixth French title in a row, but also the last one for 59 years (until 1991 ).
