1977 World Snooker Championship
The Snooker World Championship 1977 was held from April 30 April 18.
The 1977 World Cup was the first, which was held at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Since then, the World Cup always takes place. The prize money for the winner of the tournament, John Spencer was 6,000 pounds. Even the highest break of the tournament was achieved by John Spencer with 135 points.
