1978 African Cup of Champions Clubs
The African Cup of Champions Clubs 1978 was the 14th edition of the annual football competition, the African Cup of Champions Clubs. The competition 24 teams took place. It ended with the final second leg on 17 December between Hafia FC of Guinea and Cameroon Canon Yaoundé. The winner was Canon Yaoundé, which won the return match in Yaounde 2-0 after a 0-0 draw in the first leg. This was after 1971 was the second success of the club in the CAF Champions League.
A total of 26 teams from 26 state associations participated in the tournament.
