Simba SC
Simba SC is a Tanzanian football club based in Dar es Salaam. In addition to Young Africans FC, the club is the most successful in the country. The term Simba is Swahili and means Lion.
History
Founded Simba SC in 1936 under the name Queens, later, the club name was changed in Eagles and in Dar Sunderland. Finally, since 1971, it got its present name. 1993 was the most successful year in the club, in addition to winning the championship Tanzanian Simba was also able to reach the final of the CAF Cup. Overall, the club won the championship 16 times, three times the cup competition, as well as six times the CECAFA Club Cup. Best results in the CAF Champions League was reaching the group stage in 2003.
