1980 World Championships in Athletics

The World Athletics Championships 1980 in the Dutch town of Sittard consisted of two women's competitions: a 3000 -meter run and a 400 - meter hurdles. Both disciplines had not ( until August 3, 1980 July 19 ) belongs to the program of the Olympic Games in Moscow, which took place in the same year. The competitions were held from the 4th to August 16th, 1980 at De Baandert Stadium. It was attended by 42 athletes from 21 countries. The team of the USSR said from participation.
