1994–95 Albanian Superliga

Kategoria e Pare The 1994/95 (in a sense: First League ) was the 56th staging of the Albanian Football Championship and was hosted by the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit. The season began on 27 August 1994, ended May 27, 1995.

Course of the season

The League had been replenished from 14 to 16 teams compared to last year. In the 1993/94 season Lushnja KS and KS Sopoti Librazhd were relegated from the Kategoria e Pare. For the new season KS KS Shkumbini and KS Iliria Fushë - Kruja, both completed their first season in the top Albanian football class, and FK Tomori Berat and Shqiponja Gjirokastra came (formerly Luftëtari Gjirokastra ) after one or three- year absence added. Titleholder was KS Teuta Durrës.

The championship was played in a regular season with round-trip round. Each team met twice against every other team. Unlike last year, when the last three teams had to dismount Dyte in the then second-rate Kategoria e, this time only the last table got down, because the league should be increased in the following season on 18 participants. Champions and runners moved into the UEFA Cup. As the runner-up Teuta Durrës but also won the national cup for himself and was thus already represented in the European Cup Winners' Cup, drew the third party FK Partizani Tirana in the UEFA Cup.

A total of 525 were gates, corresponding to an average of 2.2 goals per game. Scorer with 21 goals was Arben Shehu of Shqiponja Gjirokastra.

After the runner-up last year, the SK Tirana could conquer the top of the league and celebrated the first championship since 1989. With the fifteenth title in club history you could at the same time again to catch up with the previous sole record champion Partizani Tirana, who finished third in this season and thus moved on goal difference over Flamurtari Vlora in the UEFA Cup. Second was the defending champion Teuta Durres, also on points with Partizani and Flamurtari. Surprisingly missed the climber Shqiponia Gjirokastra and Albpetrol Patos, last still involved in the fight for the league whereabouts, only about the entry into the international business. Vllaznia Shkoder, in the previous season finished fourth, this time had to settle for eleventh place. KS Shkumbini and Tomori Berat, two of the other League newcomers, secured seventh and ninth as masterfully avoiding relegation as Dinamo Tirana, Apolonia Fier, KF Elbasani, Besalidhja Lezhë and KF Laçi. Even the Tabellenvorletzte Besa Kavaja had in a in contrast to previous early decisive relegation battle ten -point lead, who scored on the single relegation, which was occupied by the hapless climber Iliria Fushë - Kruja in thirty games only 22 goals and suffered 64 goals.
