1995 FIFA Women's World Cup
The 2nd World Cup of Women was held in Sweden from the 5th to the 18th June 1995. The Norwegian Women won the second Women's World Cup with confidence. In six games they conceded just a goal. Best scorer was Norway's Ann Kristin Aarones with six goals, the best player of the tournament her compatriot Hege Riise was chosen. The German team lost in the final against Norway 0-2. For the first time leading a referee the final of a FIFA competition.
The FIFA World Cup played around with this a "time-out " concept from. This allowed both teams a two-minute timeout per half- time to briefly recover or make tactical meetings.

Venues
The matches of the 1995 World Championships were held in five stages in five different cities in Sweden.
Mode
The twelve teams were divided into three groups of four. The top two teams of each group and the two best third-placed teams qualified for the quarter- finals. Group A
