1995 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships
The 59th Ice Hockey World Championships in 1995 were held at the following locations and at the following times:
A total of 39 teams took part in these World Championships, which meant a new record. A qualification there was not this year.
The tournament of the A group ended with the first title of the Finnish national team. It was the first time since 1954, that again could add a new team in the winners list. In the final, the Finnish national team defeated their arch-rivals, hosts Sweden, 4-1.

Mode
It was in this year changes in the C- group area. So the boycott measures against Yugoslavia were lifted and the team admitted again to the World Cup games. As a former C- group team, the team could now line up again in the C1 group. The C1 group played therefore this year with nine teams. In addition, the C2 group was to avoid recent qualifiers, was increased from eight to ten teams. A small change was also again in the A group, where the losers in this year should not be as determined in the previous year in a match of the two groups - the Sixth, but in two comparing the two counterparties.
