- April 8 - Anne Marie Cordes, German actress dies 80 -year-old in Wiesbaden. She had become known in the Paul Temple radio plays by Francis Durbridge mainly by the role of Steve Temple on the side of René Deltgen.
- April 11 - Francis Durbridge, British novelist and screenwriter died aged 85 in London. He was known especially for the radio drama series about the detectives Paul Temple and the multi-part TV films such as The scarf and Tim Frazer, who coined the term street sweeper early 1960s.
- May 3 - Raimund Harmstorf, German actor ( The Sea Wolf, Michael Strogoff ) dies 59- year market in Oberdorf, Allgaeu.
- August 14 - Hans -Joachim Kulenkampff, German showman dies age of 77 in his hometown choice Seeham in Austria.
- August 18 - Jürgen Pooch, German actor, dies at 55 years in Turkey. He was best known for the numerous television broadcasts from the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater.

- September 4 - Hans Brenner, Austrian actor dies 59- year in Munich.
- September 27 - Harald Vock, German director and writer died aged 73 in Hamburg.
- November 28 - Hans Mohl, long-time moderator of the health magazine practice, died shortly before his 70th birthday from cancer.
- December 6 - Max Eckard, German actor, especially from the street sweepers Tim Frazer by Francis Durbridge known, dies aged 84 ( born in 1914 ).
