2005–06 NOFV-Oberliga

The season 2005/06 Oberliga Nordost was the 15th season of the Football Oberliga Nordost and the twelfth as the fourth- highest league in Germany. After the Oberliga Nordost had been reduced in the pre-season 2004/ 05 from 18 to 16 teilnehmde teams per season ( North and South), was this season for the first time an ascent and descent control, each with a fixed promotion place in the Regional and two fixed relegation places for both seasons. In addition, there were two relegation matches between the respective third last two seasons to determine a fifth Absteigers in the Association leagues ( in Saxony and Thuringia) in the national league. Prior to the season Energie Cottbus II had been regrouped after a season belonging to the North Season again in the Southern Season, as had risen in the preseason the master of Südstaffel, FC Sachsen Leipzig and also the first FC Union Berlin from the Regional descent into North Season.

Season North

The first FC Union Berlin came early in the season as Regional relegated to the Oberliga. From Berlin- League, the BFC Preussen qualified, from the Brandenburg- League came the SV Falkensee - Finkenkrug to and from the fifth division of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern rose to the Torgelower SV Greif.

Autumn Masters of the North squadron was MSV Neuruppin with a narrow margin of two goals before the same point SV Babelsberg 03 and with three points distance 1 FC Union Berlin. In the relegation places were found for winter break SV Falkensee - Finkenkrug with ten points and the FC Anker Wismar with eleven points. On the relegation place wintered TSG Neustrelitz.

While pushing the end of the season at the top of the first FC Union Berlin before Neuruppin and Babelsberg, changed little at end of table. Falkirk - Finkenkrug and Wismar dismounted with swapped places and Neustrelitz remained on the relegation place and played against the third last of Südstaffel, the TSV Völpke.

At the beginning of the season of FC Energie Cottbus II changed after just one season back from the North in the Südstaffel. From the Saxon League of FSV Budissa Bautzen rose to the Oberliga. From the League Association Saxony-Anhalt TSV Völpke came about and from the national league Thuringia qualified the second team of FC Rot -Weiß Erfurt.

The first FC Magdeburg was by a margin of five points on the FC Sachsen Leipzig and six points on the VfB Germania Halberstadt winter champions. On the two relegation zone stood at the time of the Upper Lusatia Neugersdorf FC with six points and TSV Völpke with ten points. With thirteen points VfB Pössneck occupied the relegation place.

At the end of the season the 1st FC Magdeburg was five points ahead of the VFC Plauen master of Südstaffel and rose for the first time after the license revocation in the 2001/ 02 season again the Regionalliga. The SV 1919 Grimsby and FC Upper Lusatia Neugersdorf dismounted in the national league, last year's Up Völpke TSV played in the Relegation to the third to last of the North Season, the TSG Neustrelitz, against the prompt return descent.

The relegation matches between the respective third last two league squadrons denied the TSG Neustrelitz from the North and the TSV Völpke from the South squadron. The first leg in Völpke won the TSG 1-0, so it was renewing for the TSV Völpke after regular time in the second leg after a 1-0. In this Neustrelitz scored two goals, thus won the second leg and reached the whereabouts in the Oberliga Nordost while Völpke descent into Association League after just one season league affiliation again.
