2006 Davidoff Swiss Indoors

The Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel 2006, a tennis tournament, which took place in Basel from 24 to 29 October 2006. It was part of the ATP Tour in 2006 and was played on indoor carpet. The venue of the tournament was the St. James Hall, which is just behind the Basel city limits in Munich stone.

Defender of the single was Fernando González, who pushed forward again this year to the finals. There he was defeated by the top-seeded Swiss Roger Federer in the end. For Knowles and Nestor it was after 2003 was the second title in Basel as well as their joint 37th doubles titles in her career.
