Mode

The League was held with a total of five teams in the form of main round, second round and playoffs with semifinals and finals. Since parallel for the second time the international competition of the MOL League ran (see MOL Liga 2009 /10), was the main round of the evaluated only in a separate table purely Hungarian encounters. It was not until the second round and in time after the end of the MOL League in February 2011 own encounters of the Hungarian League were played.

SAPA Fehérvár AV 19 operational no farm team this season; the combat team that participated at the same time at the Erste Bank Hockey League, came at the start of the playoffs for the competition and was qualified to fix this.

Main Round

The sixteen games of the preliminary round were from the main round of the MOL League, had been ranked in the final table Újpesti TE before the Budapest Stars.

Second round

The second round was played as a double round-trip round, with the top three clubs were six, four and two bonus points after their placement from the main round. The above fourth-placed Ferencvárosi TC came last but not least thanks to a criminal verified in his favor game against Miskolci JJSE to third place and so repressed Újpesti TE of the playoff places.

Playoffs

With the start of the playoffs SAPA Fehérvár AV 19 collided with the first team from the EBEL competition. Their semifinal series against the third-placed Ferencvárosi TC went with three significant victories extremely one-sided in three games. Balanced on the other hand was the second series: after four times had enforced the respective Away Team, where the first two games had been found only in the shootout its winner, Dunaújváros broke through this series in the decisive fifth game and won the semi-finals after interim 0:2 behind 3-2 on their own ice.

The class difference was also clearly visible in the final. Székesfehérvár was also undefeated, although the fourth and decisive victory at home was not until the shootout. In the series for third place at the Budapest Stars prevailed sovereign.
