2009 Ironman World Championship
The Ironman Triathlon World Series 2009 was a race series of triathlon competitions over the Ironman distance, it is organized annually by the World Triathlon Corporation ( WTC).

An Ironman race goes on the Triathlon Long Distance 3.86 km swim, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running
In the 23 individual races of the season and the race on the half Ironman distance ( Ironman 70.3 ), the triathletes were for a starting place at Ironman Hawaii - the unofficial world championship - qualify on 10 October 2009.
