2012 BNP Paribas Masters
The BNP Paribas Masters 2012 was a tennis tournament which took place from 29 October to 4 November 2012 at the Palais Omnisports de Paris -Bercy. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2012 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the current season, it was the last of nine tournaments Category ATP World Tour Masters 1000th
Defending champion Roger Federer was in the individual, however, shortly after his final defeat in Basel canceled participation in Paris -Bercy. In this year's final against David Ferrer won the qualifiers Jerzy Janowicz; Ferrer won for the first time in the finals of a Masters tournament and won the seventh time in the current season. The big surprise of the tournament was Janowicz, for the first time reached an ATP final of the qualifying out and on the way there five top -20 player hit, including the Third World Ranking Andy Murray. In doubles, Rohan Bopanna and Aisam -Ul- Haq Qureshi were the defending champions, they came this time with other partners to: Bopanna played with Mahesh Bhupathi, Qureshi played with Jean -Julien Rojer. Both pairings in that year the finals, with Bhupathi and Bopanna were able to prevail in two sets against Qureshi and Rojer.
The field of the individual competition consisted of 48 players, double that of the competition from 24 pairs. The 16 top-seeded player in singles and eight top-seeded pairings in a double each received a bye into the second round.

Qualification
The qualification for the BNP Paribas Masters 2012 took place on 27 and 28 October 2012. Were playing six qualifiers places eligible to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
