2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier
The ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2012 was the qualifying tournament for the ICC World Twenty20 in 2012 and took place between 13 and 24 March 2012 in the United Arab Emirates take place. In addition to the six Associate and Affiliate members of the ICC who have ODI status, ten additional participants were assessed at this tournament in regional qualifying tournaments. First should be in the final qualifying tournament then six teams for the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in 2012 to qualify. Format
The fourteen teams were divided into two groups, each seven teams. In each of these, each team played against each other and the group winners will qualify for the first qualifying final for the ICC World Twenty20 in 2012. Respective Group Second and third competed against each other and played in the semi-finals and finals a participant for the second qualifying final out. The other party was the loser of the first qualifying final. The winner of this second Qualfikationsfinale was the second participant qualified for the final tournament.
