( 21811 ) Burroughs is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 5 October 1999 by the American astronomer Roy Tucker at the Goodricke - Pigott Observatory ( IAU code 683 ) in Tucson, Arizona.

Was named the asteroid after the American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875-1950), in addition to numerous science fiction novels with Tarzan ( Original Title: Tarzan of the Apes) created the most famous jungle hero of the literature.
