A. L. Kennedy

Alison Louise Kennedy ( born October 22, 1965 in Dundee, Scotland; authors name: AL Kennedy) is a British writer.

Life

She grew up in Dundee and studied from 1983 to 1986 at the University of Warwick in Coventry, England ( Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies and Drama ). She now lives in Glasgow.

Her novels and short stories can also be found in Germany a large readership and recognition from the critics. Up to invitation to dance all of them are published in translations by Ingo Herzke the publisher Klaus Wagenbach. A. L. Kennedy et al awarded the Somerset Maugham Award.

In her works she often combines hard realism with fantastic elements. Funny and serious, tender and brutal moments are close to each other. Sometimes they also used religious allusions. Your most extensive Roman All you need addressed, among others, the writing itself and the literary world.

Their first original radio play Born a Fox was created in 2004 for the BBC and was fox under the title Born a 2012 - As Fuchs was born and produced under the direction of Iris Dröge Kamp for the SWR.
