A1 Team China
A1 Team China (English stylization: A1Team.China ) was the Chinese National Team in the A1GP series.
History
A1 Team China was founded by Liu Yu; as a team functioned since the beginning of the Belgian Team Astro Mega.
In the first season, the team was one of the backbenchers. The first and only points of the season at the same time it could retract with fifth place in the feature race in Dubai with regular driver Tengyi Jiang at the wheel. The team finished the season ranked 22nd with six points.
The following season, a significant increase was apparent. The team finished a total of nine races in the points, the third place of Ho -Pin Tung in the feature race at Eastern Creek - the first podium ever - was the best placement. It finished the season in 15th place overall with 22 points.
The third season presented the most successful team dar. The highlight was a third place in front of a home crowd in the sprint race at Zhuhai by Cong Fu Cheng. A total of four fastest race laps to underline the progress that the team had earned. It finished the season in 13th place overall with 55 points.
In the fourth round, the power curve of the team was back down. Only three points results obtained with Tung at the helm, including an eighth place in Portimão main race for the best result, meant at the end of the 18th place overall with seven points.
A1 Team China has participated in all 39 race weekends of the A1GP series.
Driver
A1 Team China put on race weekends a six different drivers, four of whom also took part in the race itself. In addition, the first official test at Silverstone in 2007 came Lin Po Heng used.
