The Autoestrada A5 or Auto- Estrada da Costa do Estoril is a highway in Portugal. The highway begins in Lisbon and ends in Cascais.

History

She was the first motorway in Portugal and one of the first in the world. In the opening of 1944, the motorway ended at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras district. At that time she had described the status of a national road and was recognized as National Road 7. 1959 a part of the road at the Grand Prix of Portugal in Monsanto Park (Circuit Monsanto ) was used in Lisbon.
