Abdul Majeed Waris Waris or Majeed ( born September 19, 1991 Tamale ) is a Ghanaian football player. The striker, who first ran aground in the spring of 2012 for the Ghanaian national team, making his debut in 2010 for BK Hacken in the Swedish professional football and became top scorer of the 2012 Allsvenskan. He now plays on loan for FC Valenciennes.

Career

Waris visited the football program of the Right to Dream Academy. In September 2008, he transferred to Hartpury College in England, a partner of the Right to Dream Academy. There, he convinced both on the field and in the classroom. In 21 appearances in official matches for the U-18 team of the college in his first season he scored 36 goals. He was instrumental to winning the U-18 Cup competition of the English Schools' Football Association, as he each scored a hat trick in both the semifinals and finals. As a student, he won a National Award for its activities and was honored at the school as an athlete of the year.

After Waris had participated with the youth team of the College on staged in Sweden youth tournament Gothia Cup, the Gothenburg club BK Hacken signed him in October 2009 and agreed with the player a valid from January 2010 four-year contract. He was the first graduate of the Right to Dream Academy, who had signed a professional contract in a European professional league.
