Abellio (transport company)

The Abellio Transport Holding BV (originally NedRailways BV ) is a transport company based in Utrecht. The 100-percent subsidiary of the Dutch state railway, Nederlandse Spoorwegen, which holds stakes in the field of public transport in Germany and in England.

History

The company was formed in 2004 as a joint subsidiary of the urban Essenes supply and transport mbH ( EVV ), which also includes the Essen Transport AG ( EVAG ), and the Essenes Busunternehmers Mesenhohl. Predecessor was founded in 2001 EVAG mbH ( EVBG ), in which the EVAG driving and workshop operation was outsourced. Changes in Group structure

From 2010 Abellio began his holdings in the area to reduce bus. In 2010, the family Mesenhohl took over the 49% stake of Abellio at the Meobus, food.
