Abraham D. Mattam

Abraham D. Mattam CV ( born November 21, 1922 in Narianganam ) is Emeritus Bishop of Satna.

Life

Abraham D. Mattam joined the Congregation of the Vincentian Congregation of Malabar and received on 15 March 1950, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 29 July 1968 Archbishop Exarch of Satna. On February 26, 1977, he was appointed Bishop of Satna.

The Archbishop of Bhopal Louis Eugene D' Souza MSFS ordained him on 30 April of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Leobard D' Souza, Archbishop of Nagpur, and Théophane Matthew Thannickunnel OPraem, Bishop of Jabalpur. On 18 December 1999 John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
