Achim Schwarze

Achim Black (born 1958 ) is a contemporary German writer.

Life and work

Black published at the age of 19, his first book, a guide about gardening. Since then, he has authored over 30 books, mainly in the field of humor and satire, as well as several self-help books. His breakthrough as an author reached Black by humorous character analysis, as for example in his successful books slackers in Bonn and the befitting extra for Mercedes drivers. Its mainly appeared in Eichborn publishing books and guides have now reached a total circulation of over 640,000 copies.

He also wrote satirical columns, for example, for the magazines Playboy and Prince. A certain notoriety in the media became black as he reported on his experiences as a ghost writer for aspiring academics.

In addition, Black is also active as artists, consultants and real estate agents.

He lives and works alternately in Berlin ( in summer) and on a cinnamon plantation in Sri Lanka ( in the winter).
