Adamello-Presanella Alps

The Adamello - Presanella Alps are a mountain range of the Southern Alps in northern Italy by the Alpine Club classification of the Eastern Alps. It includes the Adamello and the western part of the Prealpi Bresciane ( Brescia Alps).

Boundary

The Adamello - Presanella Alps is limited as follows:

  • To the Bergamo Alps in the west of the Oglio Valcamonica from Lake Iseo to Edolo
  • To Sobretta - Gavia Group in the northwest to the headwaters of the Oglio between Edolo and Ponte di Legno as the boundary
  • To the Ortler Alps in the north of the Tonale Pass Line with the Val Vermiglio (upper Val di Sole ) in the east
  • To the Brenta in northeastern Dimaro in Val di Sole up the Meledrio, over the Passo Campo Carlo Magno in the Valley of Sarca with Madonna di Campiglio (Valle di Campiglio ) and on about Pinzolo Tione di Trento ( Rendena )
  • On the Garda mountains to the east and southeast of Tione the Val di Breguzzo about Bondo in the Val Caffaro ( Creto - Ponte Caffaro ) and the line Bagolino - Passo di Maniva -Val Trompia - Col di San Zeno
  • In the south the line Col di San Zeno Lake Iseo forms the border, south of it through the Foothills - unclassified from the AVE train - west of Brescia, in Lombardy from the Alpine foreland ( Brescia pre-Alps )
