The Presanella (Italian Cima Presanella; 3556 m slm ) is a mountain in the Italian Southern Alps and the highest point of the Adamello - Presanella Alps.
The first ascent was made on August 25, 1864 by Douglas William Freshfield, HA (or M. ) Beach Croft, I. D. (or H. ) Walker with 2 leaders, including François Devouassoud. The exact identity of the Britons involved except Freshfield contradict the sources. Just three weeks later, on September 17, 1864, Julius Payer managed the second ascent.
