Adrian Iencsi

Adrian Mihai Iencsi ( born March 15, 1975 in Piatra Neamţ ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach.

Career

In the club

He began his career with his hometown club Piatra Neamţ Ceahlăul. After a six-month loan to the smaller Târgu Neamţ Cetatea the talent developed into a regular for Ceahlăul. In 1996 he made ​​the jump to the big club Rapid Bucharest. In Bucharest Iencsi experienced eight successful years and became a national player.

2004 he moved to the Russian tradition Spartak Moscow. Initially starting player, he was replaced the following season by Martin Stranzl and Radoslav Kovac from the starting lineup. In 2006, he was only seven missions, after his contract was not renewed and he moved back to his hometown club Ceahlăul.

In the 2007 /08 season he gave a one-year stint in Cyprus with Apollon Limassol, where he was at times also captain of the team.

On 31 August 2008 the Kapfenberg SV announced the commitment of Iencsi. After only four missions and problems at work authorization from the Romanian joined in January 2009 back to Rapid Bucharest, where he also worked as an assistant coach one year.

In January 2011, he joined the Romanian second division side FCM Târgu Mureş, with which he ascended into the League 1 in the summer of 2011. After descending a year later, he finished his career.

In the National Team

Iencsi played between 15 November 2000 and 2006, a total of 30 times for the Romanian national football team and scored a goal. He came in the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2006 is used, but failed in the final World Cup squad of Romania.

Coaching career

Since July 2013 Iencsi coach at FC Voluntari in the League III.
